Born in California, raised in Georgia, and having lived in the Appalachian Mountains and the foothills of the Rockies, the diverse landscapes and wildlife surrounding him have shaped Thomas Turner's journey. From a young age, Thomas embraced his inner night owl, often finding inspiration in the quiet moments of the night, where dreams come alive even while he was wide awake.

Athletic pursuits were a significant part of Thomas' upbringing, but little did he know that his genuine passion lay in the realm of art. A pivotal moment occurred during his early teens when he discovered Salvador Dali, sparking a lifelong journey into surrealism and artistic expression. This discovery led him to explore various creative avenues before enrolling at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in 2010.

At SCAD, Thomas dove head first into illustration, a curriculum that enabled him to vividly translate daydreams and imagination onto canvas. In 2012, he earned a BFA in Illustration, propelling him into a creative odyssey that took him to unexpected places.

In 2014, an internship with ABV, under the guidance of Greg Mike, opened Thomas's eyes to the expansive world of fine art and murals, revealing limitless horizons. During his tenure at ABV, Thomas was introduced to a cast of world-renowned artists, including James Bullough. This chance meeting sparked a transformative apprenticeship with Bullough in 2018. Global travels and ongoing mural projects marked the ensuing years, solidifying Thomas' presence in the art scene.

Now firmly established in his artistic journey, Thomas intricately weaves folklore and visions into immersive experiences through his surrealist lens. His primary muse, nature, inspires him to create artwork assembled predominantly from natural elements, envisioning a world with a reduced human footprint. The interconnectedness between flora, fauna, and humans is a central theme in his work.

Based in Atlanta, Thomas remains dedicated to producing fine artwork that resonates with his distinctive style and ethos. His creations have garnered recognition not only across the cityscape of Atlanta but also throughout the United States and internationally.
