‘everyone can paint’

50th Anniversary National Society of Black engineers convention

Location: Atlanta, GA

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) reached out to ABV Agency looking for an inclusive activation that would engage attendees at their 50th Anniversary Convention held at the Georgia World Congress Center.

The 50th Annual Convention was a four-day constitutional event with over 15,000 attendees, 400+ company career fair and a 5,000+ General Session. During the Annual Convention, the Society conducts organizational business, elects national and regional leaders, holds competitions and provides professional and personal development, networking and celebratory activities.

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is one of the largest student-governed organizations based in the United States. NSBE, founded in 1975, supports and promotes the aspirations of collegiate and pre-collegiate students and technical professionals in engineering and technology.

With more than 600 chapters and more than 24,000 active members in the U.S. and abroad, NSBE pursues its mission, “to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.”

For this project, we created a unique community art wall design that convention attendees could come and add to throughout the day. Students were excited have an activity that celebrated their involvement while also giving them an activity to enjoy during the programming.

All attendees were invited to choose from the pre-selected colors and paint on the wall with help from ABV Staff. By the end of the day, the entire design was filled in!
