PATH 400 Open Call for Submissions
MARTA and Livable Buckhead have joined forces to sponsor a new mural along PATH400! They are seeking an Atlanta-based artist to bring artwork to the PATH, opening to pedestrians and cyclists, this October.
The wall is located along a prominent corridor of Atlanta’s PATH400.
The wall is approximately 17.5 feet tall and 75 feet long.
PATH400 runs along the spine of GA 400 and, once complete, will provide a 5.2 mile greenway through the heart of Buckhead, connecting neighborhoods, office and retail locations with a path for bicyclists and pedestrians.
The multi-use greenway will eventually join with the Atlanta Beltline in the south and trails in Sandy Springs and north Fulton County, providing a key link in a regional trail network.
PATH400 is looking for abstract artwork that celebrates Buckhead and represents the theme of the juxtaposition of the city and nature, which comes together in the views along the trail system.
The artwork should maintain a positive and happy tone, and may not represent any crude, offensive, or political content.
The mural must be completed by October 19th. Please include your proposed installation timeline in your submission.
The selected artist will be paid $15,000.00 for their original design, installation, and all needed materials/paint.
A boom lift will be provided to the artist for installation. Proof of lift operation literacy and certification will be required.
To be considered for this project, fill out the form below by September 27th. The submission must include:
A Concise Portfolio of Your Work (10-12 Images)
A Link to Your Artist Website and/or Instagram Account
A Brief Artist Statement Explaining Your Vision for the Artwork
A Proposed Installation Timeline, Mural Must Be Complete on October 19th.
The selected artist will be contacted on September 30th.
